Book a Call

What support involves

Your initial call with a Promise Delivery Partner from The Promise Scotland will help you:

  • understand the problem
  • assess its complexity
  • identify the next steps you should take.

Next steps

The possible next steps we might identify include:

Self-directed learning

With self-directed learning, you'll use our tools, guidance and e-learning to work on a problem with your team, without direct support from the Promise Design School.

Light-touch support

Light touch support may include up to seven hours of input from a Promise Delivery Partner — helping you think about how to understand and approach your problem, and providing light touch support around design. It may also include access to Design School Lite.

Intensive support

In rare cases, The Promise Design School might be able to offer intensive support for a project. This might happen for projects which are:

  • nationally significant, and have the potential to provide national learning
  • ready to design, with a team which is willing, committed, and able to carry out intensive work
  • aligned with Plan 24-30, Scotland's route to keep the promise by 2030.

The team behind a project like this must have a clearly defined problem to solve, and a pre-existing understanding of participation. And the team must be able to commit: to attend all design sessions, participate throughout, and provide internal capacity and ownership.
